Regular filtration of cooking oil or fat can maintain the quality of your cooked product. A secondary result is that often there is a significant reduction in the quantity of oil/fat used due to less absorption into the product, less deterioration in the oil/fat quality and therefore longer periods between oil/fat changes. The Merlin filtration unit 56 litre (12 imperial gallon) capacity standard - 240v 50Hz - 1Kw maximum load Approx. Note - If using Solid fat or oils (shortening) pre heat the filter unit. Turn off the pan heat. "Skim" the larger debris from the "pan" using a sieve. Using the nozzle - extract the oil/fat from the "pan" into the machine. Clean the "pan", removing all carbon build up from the metal surfaces. Return the oil/fat to the "pan". During this return cycle the oil/fat is pulled through a low cost, fine grade, replaceable, viscous rayon filter sheet, leaving the debris and the fines on the sheet. "Top up" the oil/fat with fresh to replace that used during the frying session. Use the "Superpad" for improved filtration |
